About the Role:
At InterviewDesk, We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Web Developer. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in WordPress, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and a basic understanding of backend integration and dynamic data retrieval.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain websites using WordPress, ensuring high-performance, responsiveness, and optimization.
- Create custom WordPress themes and plugins using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS that meet clients’ aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and backend developers, to implement and refine website features and functionalities.
- Implement front-end design and layout using HTML and CSS, incorporating best practices for efficient coding and responsive design.
- Integrate websites with backend systems, ensuring smooth data flow and seamless user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs promptly, ensuring optimal performance.
- Stay up to date with emerging web development trends and technologies, and suggest innovative solutions to improve website functionality and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the web content team to ensure accurate and timely website updates and content integration.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a web developer.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with the ability to create custom themes and plugins.
- Familiarity with backend integration, API usage, and dynamic data retrieval.
- Proficient in front-end design and layout using HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of PHP and MySQL is must.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and implementation.
- Experience with web analytics and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Figma.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot website issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
